Some people think the smell of propane means their tank needs refilling. If your tank is low, you may get a momentary whiff if gas when stove-top burners are ignited. Persistent odor or smell you can not identify, repeated pilot outage, flooding and other conditions that could result in wet gas controls or appliances
When do you need a Gas Safety Check? Install new gas appliance, move into a residence with propane, move location of tank, add new line to another location, line is cut or damaged, out of gas.
For your convenience and cost make sure not to run out of gas. The National Fire Protection (NFPA) regulations were imposed for propane users that run out of gas. A complete system safety check is required. The inspection consists of checking lines from tank to burner tip, regulators and control valves. In order to complete a system test the customer needs to be home.
